Paideia, The European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden stores the personal data of those who express an interest in activities conducted by the institute, who participate in programs, events, courses, workshops, lectures and other educational activities conducted by Paideia, enter into a  partnership or collaboration with us and those who give financial support to Paideia. The personal data that is stored is restricted to the information which is deemed to be necessary for Paideia to carry out its activities and to communicate current and future activities. Personal data in not shared with a third party except in those instances that are specified in this document.

The purpose of all gathering of personal data at Paideia is to facilitate education, collaboration and communication, as well as manage the obligations Paideia has in regard to the documentation and reporting required by certain funders.

What data is stored and how will we use it?

We store your name, email, phone number and address in order to contact you, as well as send out information regarding events, courses, programs, lectures and all other activities that Paideia offers.

For students and alumni, Paideia also stores biographical data on fields of work, location and professional interest in order to tailor opportunities, and to facilitate cooperation between students in the same field or region. Paideia is also obligated to report certain information in order to receive grants that fund our educational programing.

We also share necessary information with those responsible for allowing access to our premises.

How is the data collected?

Application information is received through Cognito Forms and is then stored locally at Paideia.

Contact data is also stored when you sign up for our email list.

Sometimes we take pictures of functions and activities for documentation, reporting and to post on our social media channels.  As a participant, you could occasionally be in one of those pictures, but you may tell us when photographing or filming is taking place that you would not like to be photographed or recorded.

Privacy Information Assistance

In order to assure that participants and staff have access to safe, reliable and flexible IT services that are needed to offer a well-functioning education administration, Paideia has a signed contract with Cognito Forms who acts as a Personal Data subsidiary on behalf of Paideia Institute.  In order to assure that your personal data is handled according to data protection regulations and with the intent that is given in this consent policy, we work with only serious parties and have a personal data subsidiary contract which fulfills the requirement in the data protection regulations.

Elimination of information

Application information in Cognito is erased six months after the start of the program, event or course.

You have the right to request copies of your personal data.

You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request Our Company to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

You have the right to object to processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
