Interpreting the Torah & the Quran

This mini course gives an opportunity for Muslim and Jewish texts, traditions and people to meet in a study environment. The course presents Jewish and Muslim perspectives on shared figures such as Abraham/Ibrahim, Jonah/Yunus and Joseph/Yusuf. The purpose of the course is to deepen the understanding for Jewish and Muslim text interpretation, to open up for a conversation between the two traditions and for students of both religions to meet.

There are four meetings including a study visit to a mosque and a synagogue. Each session deals with a shared figure and consists of two parts: one focusing on Jewish and one on Muslim text interpretation. The participants will mainly be drafted from Kista FHS and Paideia but the course is also open for other interested.
